About the Blog

If it was me, and I had a library wall to deface, I think I’d just remind people of the power of stories, of why they exist in the first place. I’d put up the four words that anyone telling a story wants to hear. The ones that show it’s working, and that pages will be turned:

“…and then what happened?”

Neil Gaiman, “Introduction: Just Four Words,” from the Stories Anthology

This blog is devoted to books, but especially to books that tell stories. Even if not everyone loves reading, everyone loves stories, and the best way to get children and young adults hooked on reading is to find them a book that makes them ask that hallowed question that Neil Gaiman and every other author, librarian, teacher and bibliophile longs to hear: “And then what happened?”
